Backpacking, canyoneering, bicycle touring, scuba diving, travel and much more; we love doing them all and have our entire lives. As we enter retirement and both being over 65, we don’t want to stop, not yet, hopefully never.
We are reaching out because we are sure that we aren’t alone. Friends, family and even casual aquantiances have shared with us their desires to remain active in their senior years. We hope sharing this journey with you, it will inspire you. Eventually, we are hoping that you will want to share your journey to remain active in retirement with us. Full Disclaimer, we are making this up as we go, but we hope you will join us on this messy journey.
There is a quote we love: “I am 65 and people keep telling me to act my age, the problem is I’ve never been this age before.”
Our Path Less Followed
You’ll find that we’re constantly planning our future activities and have things on the calendar 12-18 months out. This past year we were able, visit Turkey and Mexico, hot air balloon, paraglide, scuba dive and hike a slot canyon. It’s been a good year. Below is a link to the adventures we are planning/working for next year.
This is our forum to discuss our plans to remain active and the steps we are taking to do so. We will be honest about both our dreams and fears, our strengths and weaknesses, our successes and failures.
I am telling you of our plans so we can share the journey together, success or fail, the good and the bad. It would be wonderful if you could share your plans to stay active with us.
Looking forward to the journey, Salute.
